Intimacy: Love Without Needs [CD]

This seminar, held in April 2011, discusses how neediness prevents our being fully present to another. The belief that we need something external to fill what is lacking in us is the bedrock of the special relationship, wherein others exist only to meet our needs. We call our special partners beloved when they do, believing the relationship is an intimate one. True intimacy, on the other hand, comes when we join with the Beloved in the mind, our one need being to choose Him. Our focus, therefore, should never be on what is outside us, but always on our journey inward, where the Beloved awaits us as our Friend.
