A prevalent trend in society today is the desire to accomplish things faster and faster, to attain instant satisfaction, instant results, and so on. This often creeps into people's work with A Course in Miracles as well, resulting in attempts to devise shortcuts to completion of the lessons. This class therefore focuses on the essence of the process that students ideally would have to follow to attain the goal of the Course, given their firm belief in the reality of the body and the world. The three books of A Course in Miracles thus help us understand the need to spend the rest of our lives living out this "organized, well-structured and carefully planned program" of forgiveness (T-12.II.10). Humility, constant vigilance, and willingness to do the work become the keys to progress in learning and practicing the message of love emanating from our inner Teacher.
