This workshop begins with a sampling of allusions in literary works and spiritual traditions to the themes of our having fallen asleep in a world that is a dream. In the context of Freud's valuable insights on the topic, and various readings from A Course in Miracles, the workshop develops the Course's unique approach in explaining our daily experiences—the world's dream—as projections of the ego thought system of sin, guilt, and fear—the secret dream. The strategy of the ego to keep us in this state of dreaming is also exposed, thus providing the context for our asking help from Jesus or the Holy Spirit to awaken from the dream.
