Kenneth has often remarked that, in our study and practice of the Course, we want to remember that purpose is everything. Nothing in the split mind, including all its projections, ever happens by chance, but we have made the power of our mind to miscreate so unconscious that we are almost never aware that there is a deliberate purpose behind all that we choose to experience. Ultimately, Kenneth has observed, there are only two purposes for everything: the ego's purpose of maintaining the separation, or the Holy Spirit's purpose of healing and awakening from the painful, fearful dream of separation and death. Kenneth has also noted that the Course is the only spiritual path he is aware of that explains the ego purpose for our mind's dreaming of an illusory world of bodies that we believe is real. It keeps us completely unaware that we have chosen to believe in the illusion of separation, and that we have the power to choose against it now. For this first month of the new year, we would like to suggest two programs where Kenneth explores different aspects of this central theme of purpose in the Course.
