The Attraction of Love [MP3]

The attraction of love is presented in the Course on two levels. There is the ego's attraction to special love, which is a defense against the true attraction, which is to God's Love. The discussion in this class focuses on how our fear of the perfect Oneness that is God's Love and our Identity leads us to make a form of love that we think will preserve our individuality. The first special love affair we have, thus, is with our ego self. That is the attraction, yet it is born out of the fear of the original attraction. Even as we are preoccupied with the dynamics of special relationships, the irresistible attraction to the Love that we are remains in our minds, calling us at every instant to respond to it.
