Although unfinished, Kenneth's long-awaited book has finally arrived, though not in the form he envisioned. After having spent years reading and researching in preparation for his writing, he produced copious notes, references, and commentaries on Freud and Jung, as well as A Course in Miracles. The first volume contains the writings on Freud, while the second volume contains the writings on Jung and also on A Course in Miracles. The material from both volumes was going to be the theoretical background for Kenneth's intended second volume on Psychotherapy, with a focus on the pamphlet, Psychotherapy: Purpose, Process, & Practice.

Despite the fact that his intended second volume did not get written—aside from the Preface, which is included in the second volume—when we consider Kenneth's purpose here in the context of all that he had written and compiled in what precedes this Preface, it seems evident this volume would have made a remarkable contribution to our understanding of the healing of the mind through the principles of A Course in Miracles.
