The Clear and Shining Instant of Time [MP3]

This set includes three classes that deal with A Course in Miracles' view of time: "Time: The Eternal Hourglass of Existence," "Time: Friend or Foe?" and "The Dark Backward and Abysm of Time." All three describe the illusory nature of linear time, reflecting the Course's teachings that the world of time and space occurred in one instant. Thus, our present experience is merely reviewing "mentally what has gone by." Yet believing in time's reality imprisons us in a world of change that reflects the original change when we seemed to have changed our identity from Christ to ego. Time, however, becomes our friend when it is transformed into a classroom of forgiveness in which we learn that our past memories of special love and hate are only present decisions projected into a nonexistent past. Choosing Jesus as our teacher releases the sinful past and fearful future, and we are gently led to the holy instant in which time disappears, as the memory of our eternal Self dawns on our healed mind.
