While identified with the body, we cannot accept that we are invulnerable (T-1.IV.2:11). As bodies, we believe we are vulnerable to attack on many levels, and must defend ourselves through attacking in return. Yet our sense of vulnerability comes from an ego decision to attack our Self by denying our Identity as limitless spirit and identifying with a separated self. “The body's vulnerability is its [the ego’s] own best argument that you cannot be of God.” (T-4.V.4:2). Invulnerability is found only in Oneness, where no conflict and no attack are possible (T-3.VII.6:8; W-pII.5.2:4). Fearing Oneness, we cling to the false vulnerable self. This program, through discussion and readings, will examine our hidden investment in our vulnerability and the steps we can take, when we choose the Holy Spirit’s thought system, to correct our mistaken perceptions of attack and vulnerability.
